Epidemic of septic sore throat

last night I dreamed I went to the city of Poza Rica and I was hanging around a small clinic next to the oil union hospital, some guy came in throwing up large quantities of hard pasty flems, he said he had a sore throat and that he needed to travel, the nurse who was checking him said there was an epidemic in town of sore throats, she asked himn if he knew where he had been contaminated, he said he was suspicious of some bread he bought... today I checked out on the web Septic Sore Throat Epidemics and found an article from july 1928 about a case in chicago that sick milk operators contaminated the cows and milking equipment resulting in the death of 26 people and 400 with fever in bed...
